Description

Nutmeg tree is very high. There are 80 kinds of nutmeg. Its 30 kinds are found in the India and Maladariv. Mostly, its tree is found in the malakaisland of Asia Minor. There are two kinds of nutmeg tree as- male and female. Flowers of female nutmeg grow in the small sprout. Its leaves are width like spear (Bhala). Leaves of male nutmeg are big, which are called miristica mycrofila in English language. It provides smell after crushing. Its tree has flowers but has not pushp-kosh.

Precaution:

By using excessive quantity of nutmeg intoxication occur. In addition, it also may be the cause of giddiness, sterility, impotency, liver disorders, lungs disorder, headache, sperm deficiency and senselessness. Hot natured person should not take nutmeg.

Useful in various diseases :

1. Hiccup:

  • Grind nutmeg with juice of basil and take it in one spoon quantity thrice a day, it prevents hiccup.
  • Grind nutmeg with rice water (wash rice with water) and give it to the patient, it prevents hiccup and vomiting.

2. Children loose motions:

Grind nutmeg with water and take half spoon this mixture 2-3 times in a day, it prevents loose motions of children.

3. Weakness:

Make the powder by grinding 10 grams nutmeg, 10 grams mace and 50 grams winter cherry together. Taking 1 spoon this powder with milk twice a day regularly ends weakness.

4. Gas and constipation:

Grind nutmeg with lemon juice and take two spoons this mixture twice a day after meals, it eliminates constipation and eliminates gas.
